Ukraine Independence Day Celebration

Dear citizens of Schmelz,

Despite the difficult times, the Ukrainian refugees are celebrating the Ukrainian National Day in the circle of Ukrainians and cordially invite all interested residents of the municipality of Schmelz to join in the celebrations. With the National Day they honour the memory of their heroes, but this year they would like to celebrate with their German hosts. With this celebration, they would like to present a little of their Ukrainian identity: in the form of information, games, creative actions, handicrafts and, of course, Ukrainian food. At the same time, they would like to express their sincere gratitude to the host families, the many volunteers, the staff of the civil parish of Schmelz and all the residents of Schmelz for their support.
